Embracing your Aphrodite

Embracing your Aphrodite

Two thousand years ago in Ancient Greece, Gods and Goddess were created. Of those Goddess Aphrodite reigned. She was the Goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, passion, and procreation. She freely embraced her sexuality. Let’s take a minute and compare her to modern day. She undoubtedly is a representation of WOMEN! Through the years, we as women, have forgotten that we are goddesses. We are incredible in everything we do and endure. We are beautiful and come in all different shapes, sizes, and personalities.

Taking it back to Ancient Greek mythology, Aphrodite was portrayed as a woman that is generally nude with a cloak draped over her. She radiates strength but delicacy. She is also confidently embraced her curves.

If this is what symbolizes women then why are we not embracing this today. Well it's time to stop looking at what society tells us we should look like and embrace the true Aphrodite goddesses that we are. Embrace You! You are beautiful in every different form that you embody in this life. You may have curves, stretch marks, small/ large chest, small/ large butt, freckles, glasses, or tall/ short. These are not insecurities or faults. These are your individually unique beauty marks. They make you who you are. They are part of your story.

Aphrodite not only represents women, she exudes self-love.  So what are ways that we, as women can embrace our Aphrodite?

  • Embracing your body/ sexuality
  • Positive affirmations
  • Confidence
  • Supporting each other
  • Forgive yourself
  • Give and receive support
  • Embrace your vulnerability
  • Stay grounded in who you are
  • Take experiences and grow from them
